Come divertirsi a New York

New York (conosciuta anche come Big Apple) offre una scelta straordinaria, siano esse gay bar, club di ballo o semplicemente shopping. La città, con la storia di Stonewall, ha una vivace comunità LGBT e non è senza motivo che New York sia conosciuta come la città che non dorme mai.

La cultura gay ha diffuso le sue ali in tutta New York e le zone gay ben conosciute, come Chelsea e The Village non sono più l'unica opzione, potete spaziare  verso l'Upper West Side o Queens o Park Slope, Brooklyn e moto altro ancora.

Gay bar a New York

La zona gay più famosa di New York è Chelsea, tra la 23rd Street e la 30th Street in west side Manhattan. Qui ci sono molti bar per gay e altri locali per i palati raffinati: buon cibo, negozi di lusso e gallerie d’arte di prima classe. Questa non è l’unica parte della città dove si svolge la vita notturna gay: in tutta New York ci sono bar, club e feste. Dopo aver fatto questa considerazione, ci sono tre locali che non si possono proprio perdere:

Le Bain

Al 18esimo piano dello Standard Hotel, c’è un club di due piani chiamato Le Bain. Il nome deriva dalla piscina al coperto che si trova vicino alla consolle del DJ. Quando è estate, le persone possono nuotare in piscina. In inverno, è diventa una pista da ballo. .Tutto il locale ha diverse vedute di Manhattan e del fiume Hudson. Quando il tempo è bello, si può anche prendere un cocktail al 19esimo piano sul terrazzo (dove è permesso anche fumare). Il giovedi sera, Le Bain è preferito dai giovani gay cseguaci della moda: uomini, donne, gay, etero… tutti sono i benvenuti! I drink sono costosi, ma l’atmosfera è quella tipica di Manhattan: una bellissima vista sulla città da ogni angolo del club, belle persone e bravi DJ.

Industry Bar

Come suggerisce il nome, Industry Bar era in origine un magazzino industriale, trasformato poi in un bar di stile. Quasi tutte le sere l’Industry Bar crea serate a tema, come spettacoli drag, tornei di biliardo o attività tipiche americane (guardare spettacoli televisivi, come Desperate Housewives o RuPaul’s Drag Race). I frequentatori di questo locale hanno dai 20 ai 40 anni e sono bianchi, afro-americani e asiatici. Nel weekend l’Industry Bar è molto affollato e spesso si tratta di soli uomini con occasionali hag fag. Tieniti pronto per quando tutto il locale inizia a saltare al ritmo della musica pop. L’Industry Bar ha due bar, salottini privati, un tavolo da biliardo e un cubo dove poter ballare. I drink non sono molto costosi tuttavia i bagni sono un disastro (conviene andare prima di essere lì) ma l’atmosfera è eccezionale.

Barracuda lounge

Questo posto è un classico quando di parla di locali gay a New York. E’ noto per l’atmosfera rilassata, gli spettacolari drag show e i drink economici.

I locali citati sopra non chiedono un biglietto d’ingresso. Chiudono tra le 2:00 e le 4:00. Non dimenticare di portare la carta d’identità e la mancia di $1 per drink. Buon divertimento
